An antidetect browser gives every profile its own fingerprint: screen, fonts, time zone, hardware. The IP address is the one part it can't make up. That has to come from a proxy, one per profile, or every account you run shows up from the same address.
Which proxy type for which profile
- ISP (static residential) proxies for accounts you keep: social, marketplace and ad accounts. The address belongs to a consumer internet provider and stays the same for months, so the account always logs in from the same place. This is the usual choice. ISP prices
- Residential proxies with a sticky session for short jobs: checking listings, signing up, one-off tasks. Billed by the GB, and the IP can change when the household goes offline, so they suit work that ends in minutes or hours. Residential prices
- Mobile proxies for apps and sites that trust carrier IPs more than home connections. Mobile prices
- Datacenter proxies rarely. Websites can see the address belongs to a hosting company, which defeats the point of a careful fingerprint.
What profiles and proxies cost
The cheapest browser plan for each profile count, plus one ISP proxy per profile from the cheapest provider:
| Profiles | Browser | Proxies | Total a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | BitBrowser Free | Webshare $6.00 | $6.00 |
| 50 | ixBrowser Free | Webshare $15.00 | $15.00 |
| 100 | ixBrowser Free | Webshare $30.00 | $30.00 |
The proxies can cost as much as the browser, so compare both at your own numbers: antidetect browser prices and ISP proxy prices.
Setting it up
- One proxy per profile, never shared. Two accounts on one IP link them as surely as a shared fingerprint.
- Pick the proxy's country first. Put the profile where the account belongs, then buy the proxy there.
- Let the profile follow the IP. Most antidetect browsers can set the profile's time zone, language and location from the proxy's IP. Make sure that option is on, so a London IP doesn't come with a Sydney clock.
- Check it inside the profile. Open our IP check in the profile: the IP type should be a consumer ISP, the time zone should match, and WebRTC shouldn't show another address.
- Keep the pairing. Leave the same proxy on the profile for the life of the account. With residential sticky sessions, give each profile its own session ID.
Protocols and bundled proxies
19 of the 19 antidetect browsers we track accept SOCKS5 proxies as well as HTTP, and 12 sell or bundle proxies of their own. Bundled proxies are convenient, but compare their price per GB or per IP with the proxy rankings before you rely on them.
